Auditing For Compliance & Control

"As IT and the business process become increasingly inseparable, IT Operations has to be in a position to provide necessary compliance information for regulations, such as Euro-SOX, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards, Basel II and Gramm-Leach-Bliley. Thus job scheduling tools that automate some of these mission critical business processes should provide operational control and data to the businesses to demonstrate compliance."

ActiveBatch® addresses audit and security requirements to limit the risk of unauthorized changes to any ActiveBatch object including mission-critical workflows through its architecture. When an object (e.g. Jobs, Plans, User Accounts, etc.) is "actioned" (e.g. created, modified, triggered, associated with another object, etc.) ActiveBatch records and stores these changes along with the object ID, name, date & time, the specific action and the user generating the actions. The audits can be filtered, printed and reported to comply with internal or external requirements.

ActiveBatch provides a complete Audit & Revision history on each ActiveBatch Object to allow for a comprehensive view of changes made with an ActiveBatch environment. The ActiveBatch Revision History functionality allows for a comparison of changes that exist between revisions on any ActiveBatch Object. ActiveBatch also provides the ability to restore back to the properties of any earlier Object revision. In addition ActiveBatch 's audit architecture provides both Object & Instance audits on ActiveBatch operations that occur to the template or within an Instance of an Object that has already been triggered. Details such as creation, modification, triggering and more are all captured on each and every ActiveBatch object (e.g. Jobs, Plans, User Accounts, etc.). This provides users with the ability to troubleshoot issues more easily and reliably by providing a mechanism to reverse errors and minimize business impact caused by these errant changes.

ActiveBatch supports todays compliance and control requirements by its ability to set policies on plans. Using customizable audit fields that can either be optional or mandatory, ActiveBatch audit fields can be required when objects within the ActiveBatch system are modified, triggered, updated or added. Fields can be created to require a Description, approved by, authorized ID or any other policy requirement.

ActiveBatch provides packaged reports from within its OLAP database that include a report on modifications made to an ActiveBatch object template over its history.
