ActiveBatch® Extensions offer Job Steps and functions for specific 3rd party applications, databases and platforms to the Integrated Jobs Library to simplify the integration of these technologies with existing Job Steps already part of the Integrated Jobs and Services Library. For example, you can use the ActiveBatch Extensions to run processes within an SAP environment and then integrate those processes with other mission-critical application such as Informatica or IBM Cognos or DataStage. ActiveBatch Extensions are separately licensed to allow users to customize their ActiveBatch implementation to their IT environment.

ActiveBatch Extensions are separately licensed to provide specific Job Steps that can be added to ActiveBatch's Integrated Jobs Library to integrate specific applications and /or technologies with those of ActiveBatch's core capabilities. For example, if your business uses specific applications such as SAP NetWeaver you can integrate those processes with non-SAP processes to simplify the development of "mixed" workflows without the requirement to develop custom scripts to pass data or manage cross system dependencies.
